Mountains Unlimited Whitewater Adventures

We are an adventure club made up of licensed professional guides and outdoor sports lovers.

From the Western US to the European Alps we run outings all year long. Most of our groups are small and the cost is low, but that does not affect the quality of our trips.  All whitewater outings are noncommercial in nature and members pay only for expenses. Most trips are guided to insure the safety of personnel and equipment. Some trips are self guided, where our guides go along in kayaks for safety.

Membership includes discounts on many outdoor items for climbing, boating, biking, kayaks and inflatable boats.

Some local rivers that we guide on are:

BULLS BRIDGE GORGE - This is an 8 mile run in Kent, CT through Class IV-V rapids that are among the most difficult in the east.
HOUSATONIC RIVER - This is a 7 to 10 mile trip that flows through historic foothills of Northwestern Connecticut with Class I to III flow.
THE DRYWAY (DEERFIELD RIVER) - The Class IV rapids of the Dryway are technically demanding with non-stop action.  Rafting through such rapids as Split Rock, Dragon’s Tooth and The Labyrinth demand teamwork between both guides and Paddlers.

ZOAR GAP (Family Rafting) - This stretch of the Deerfield is great for families and groups looking for a day of fun whitewater. Easy rapids and the excitement of the Zoar Gap section make this the perfect trip for beginners!

WEST RIVER (Vermont) - Rafting the Class III to IV rapids on the West River in Vermont is a great way to start the season or to view the fall foliage. With over 3 miles of continuous rapids, the river pushes each rafters’ paddling skills to the limit. This is a perfect intermediate raft trip.
LEHIGH RIVER (In the Poconos) - Excellent whitewater rafting occurs in the spring and summer on the Lehigh River.  Experience the beauty of the gorge and fun rapids on this popular section.  This is the perfect trip for beginners as we paddle the Class I to III rapids, only 2 hours from NY City.

Other popular trips are on the KENNEBEC RIVER (in Maine), HUDSON RIVER GORGE (Indian Lake, NY), THE NEW RIVER (in West Virginia), THE UPPER AND LOWER GAULEY (also in West Virginia)
