Since 1999 Rubicon Outdoors has been dedicated to providing detail oriented, professionally staffed and environmentally friendly outdoor programs for teens, adults, families and groups. We are family owned and operated and based in Historic Georgetown in the heart of the California Gold Country. Rubicon has a wide variety of programs ranging from one day guided Rock Climbing trips to month long Teen Adventure programs consisting of a variety of elements including; Backpacking, Rock Climbing and Whitewater Kayaking. We have an extremely high guide to client ratio of 1:4 for our Teen Adventure programs and 1:2 for our guided climbing programs. All lead guides are certified Top-Rope Site Managers by the American Mountain Guides Association, certified Wilderness First Responders and certified in CPR by the American Heart Association. We operate under special use permit for rock climbing in the Eldorado National Forest at both Lover’s Leap and Phantom Spires. Backpacking within the “Range of Light” and Yosemite National Park, and whitewater kayaking with Current Adventures on the South Fork of the American River.
