Great Family Fun begins at TheCanoeing on the Pine River in Michigan Pine River Paddlesports Center. We’re located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest, just 20 minutes west of Cadillac. We serve the Pine and Big Manistee Rivers, the jewels of Michigan paddlesports. Regardless of your skill-level or ability, PRPC has a trip, and the right craft to suit the needs of your family and friends.

We are the largest kayak rental in the entire Midwest and provide the finest selection of rental paddlecraft available in Michigan. Our paddlecraft selection includes solo and tandem-canoes/ rafts/ recreational kayaks/ sit-on-top kayaks/ tandem kayaks/ touring kayaks/ and whitewater kayaks. For your comfort, all of our kayaks have footbraces installed and spray skirts are available.

CAMPING: Our Quiet Campground has spacious campsites nestled right in the woods. Each site has a picnic table, lantern hanger, fire ring with adjustable grill, and a clean garbage receptacle. The clean bathroom facility has flush toilets and coin-op showersThe crew at Pine River along with the canoes, kayaks and rafts that are available for rent.

MOUNTAIN BIKING: We have comfy and user-friendly Specialized Hard Rock Mtn. Bikes. Within 30 minutes of PRPC are five of Michigan’s most beautiful hiking and biking trails: The North Country Trail, Manistee River Trail, Big-M Trail, McKenzie Trail, and the Silver Creek Trail.


PADDLE WEAR AND GIFT STORE: Our office is well stocked with river tee shirts and caps, paddling wear, canoe-specific gifts, cameras, sunglasses, jewelry, Teva sandals, walking sticks, and a whole lot more!
